There is a fundamental difference between salvation and rewards but sometimes believers can get confused between the two!
Salvation is first and foremost a free gift and cannot be earned, while rewards most certainly will be earned (given by God) to the believer as a result of his/her faithful service.
Our salvation is based upon what Christ did on the cross while our rewards are based upon what we have done with what Christ has already given us.
We serve an abundant and lavish God and it is His desire to bless His children, especially when we stand before Him at the Bema Seat of Christ.
Therefore in reality we don’t actually gain MORE rewards, but can only LOSE some as a result of disobedience and unfaithfulness!
