Do Not Grieve or Quench The Spirit

Simply stated we grieve the Holy Ghost when we say yes to Satan when he tempts us into sin and we quench the Holy Ghost when we say no to the Lord as He calls to walk the narrow road of faith.

Jesus cleanses our temples

Just like Jesus cleared the temple in John 2, He is also in the process of clearing (cleansing) our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit, of anything that is not of Him as His desire is that we be holy just as He is holy.

We are exhorted by the apostle Peter to continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Saviour Jesus Christ but this knowledge is not merely ‘head knowledge’ but an intimacy, a closeness and a far deeper relationship with Christ than that which is exhibited in much of Christendom today.

The Tale of Two Brothers

The story of the two brothers illustrates much of the state of the church today. The younger brother is not at all interested in working for his father as he would much rather be living it up elsewhere, seeking the bright lights where it is fun and exciting without the boring constraints of his father’s house.
